Somewhere Over the Sun |
A blog created to help readers get an inside look at an author in the process of publishing and promoting a debut novel. |

Dear Readers,
That is me, sitting in/on the Big Sur River. It was a perfectly placed chair which has absolutely nothing to do with the rest of this post. I just wanted to share it to remind you that, though you may not be constantly reminded of the fact that some chairs are perfectly placed, some chairs are exactly where they need to be. And, yes, maybe I wanted to flaunt my tattoo. It, too, is perfectly placed, in my opinion.
I’ve received only two contest submissions, but I’m hopeful that many more will come. I’ve threatened plenty of people, and an onslaught of stories is sure to come my way.
A friend pointed out that e-mailing my manuscript to the winner is a bit risky, since there would be nothing keeping a person of low or even medium integrity from forwarding the manuscript to whomever he/she pleases. I have yet to come up with a solution, but one is forthcoming. If you have any suggestions, please do tell.
Remember, you can email your stories to adi.alsaid@gmail.com, or submit them on this blog.
